We teach ballet and contemporary technique to ensure dancers have access to the art of the movements. All of our classes include story telling through movement as well as mindfulness activities as part of our cool down.

MUSICAL THEATRE DANCE
This class is jam packed and dancers are encouraged to find their unique style while we explore hip hop foundations as well as other styles within the genre such as Popping, KPOP, Locking, Commercial and House. Dancers work as part of a team to create some cool pieces of choreography to age appropriate pop, rap and commercial music. These classes are for a mixed age group, check out our timetable to find out which class is best for your child.
This class follows Jazz technique in a fun and exciting way. You will often find us reenacting our favourite routines from the musicals as we sing along and work on our acting skills through dance.
At High Barnet School of Dance we advocate mindfulness and really want our dancers to feel a sense of achievement. We perform in our very own annual production which we stage at the Arts Depot Theatre as well as provide exam and event opportunities throughout the year.
Every class is structured so that dancers get the most out of their time in the studio. We encourage friendship building, peer appreciation and end every class with a short mindfulness activity. We feel this really instils the wider offer that dance can provide for our children -
"it is so much more than just dance".
